Recommendation:
|
THAT the Board of Education approve the following recommendations: THAT the Municipal Pension Board of Trustees be requested to declare, effective July 1, 2021, the provisions of the Municipal Pension Plan Rules to apply to employees of the Board of Education of School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) covered by the Teamsters Local Union No. 31 collective agreement under subsection 2(1)(c) of the Municipal Pension Plan Rules, and the employee eligibility rules as set out in section 3 of the Municipal Pension Plan Rules are to apply to those employees. FURTHER THAT the Board of Education of School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) confirms that, effective July 1, 2021, current regular, part-time employees covered by the Teamsters Local Union No. 31 collective agreement are eligible to enroll in the Municipal Pension Plan and all new regular, part-time employees covered by the Teamsters’ Local Union No. 31 collective agreement will be enrolled in the Municipal Pension Plan and will not be required to meet the minimum enrolment criteria.
